Where studio time goes
With Vocal recording you pay for the iso booth, the engineer and room to stack takes. Before you arrive we load instrumentals, check tempo and structure, and prep a cue mix. That usually takes fifteen to thirty minutes depending on how clean your files are.
Recording itself often needs two to four hours for one song when lyrics and melody are settled. Doubles, ad-libs or an extra verse can add an hour. Always leave pause time; voices tire faster than people expect, especially after a busy day in Amsterdam.

Half and full days suit blocks with several songs or many overdubs. Hourly booking fits a single track or a quick hook. Amounts include VAT; business clients can see net figures on quotes.
What is included is explained on vocal recording. Mix and mastering after the session are priced separately on services.
Sample calculations
One single, lyrics ready: setup plus three hours of tracking often fits in four hours total. That is close to the half-day rate €325 — usually better value than four separate hours at €95 each.
Five-track EP: allow roughly three hours per song plus an hour per day for setup and export. Two weekdays (16 hours) map to €580 per day. Treat that as guidance, not a promise: some songs finish in two hours, others need a return visit.
Ad-libs or doubles only: two hours can be enough when the lead exists elsewhere. Book hourly and send the multitrack and a rough mix in advance so we do not lose time importing.
Deposit, cancellation and payment
When you confirm a date we ask for a 30% deposit on the planned amount. Free reschedule or cancel is possible up to 7 days before the session; after that the deposit or part of the studio time may apply under our terms and conditions.
Private clients usually pay before or right after the session. Business accounts with a valid VAT ID can receive an invoice with 14 days to pay when agreed at booking. Need a quote for accounting? Email us; we reply within 2 business days.
Saving time yourself
The biggest savings come from preparation. Deliver instrumentals as WAV at session tempo, with clear file names and folders. Print lyrics, mark ad-libs and decide what must be sung live versus exported later as stems for mix.
Arrive on time: Tram 3 stops at Marnixstraat; from there it is about a 4-minute walk west along Haarlemmerweg to number 178. From Amsterdam Centraal it is roughly a 10-minute walk via Haarlemmerdijk and Haarlemmerweg.. Late arrival comes out of your booked block. Bring a second copy of files; cloud uploads are fine if you test them the day before.

After tracking: mix, archive and next steps
We keep raw recordings on secure storage for 24 months unless you agree otherwise. For a professional mix you will later send organised tracks; see export stems for mix and mix production.
Mastering and release metadata are separate steps; mastering metadata for release helps when you target streaming. 2 revision rounds are included on mix and master projects per quote — not on pure studio hours, which you extend if you need more time.
