A compact recording studio in Amsterdam West, walking distance from Haarlemmerplein and Westerpark.
Why this location
Mormonyra opened in 2019 in a former warehouse at Haarlemmerweg 178. The Westerpark neighbourhood mixes housing, creative workspaces and solid public transport — useful when band members travel from across Amsterdam.
We serve artists, bands, producers and podcast hosts who want a neutral, well-equipped room without hotel-style frills. The engineer who writes your quote runs the session at the desk.
The rooms
Live room (42 m²)
Drums, bass, keys and guitars together; iso space for amps. Sight line to control and individual cue mixes.
Iso booths (2)
Lead vocal, doubles and ad-libs with controlled acoustics; also suited to voice-over and dialogue.
Control room
Hybrid desk with 32 inputs, nearfield monitors and a separate critical-listening corner for mastering checks.
Gear in brief
About 26 microphones and DIs, from large-diaphragm condensers to dynamics for drums and guitars. We describe categories rather than brand lists: choice depends on voice, instrument and target sound.
Podcast corner with table and broadcast arms for up to 4 speakers, basic editing and WAV or MP3 delivery via podcast and dialogue recording.
Getting here
Haarlemmerweg 178, 1051 CV Amsterdam. Tram 3 stops at Marnixstraat; from there it is about a 4-minute walk west along Haarlemmerweg to number 178. From Amsterdam Centraal it is roughly a 10-minute walk via Haarlemmerdijk and Haarlemmerweg. On-street parking is limited; bike racks at the door.
